A support screenshot often carries an email, a phone number or even a card number. Three habits cover almost every case.
Support, sales and engineering people take screenshots all day. The catch is that the screen nearly always shows more than it needs to: the customer's email, a phone number, an address, a token in the address bar.
Before you send it
- 01Crop before you coverAnything that doesn't help explain the issue can leave the image. Less visible area, less risk.
- 02Use a solid block for secretsBlur and pixelation hide things that are only visually sensitive. Passwords, card numbers and tokens need a solid block that leaves nothing behind.
- 03Check the edgesOpen tabs, notifications and the bookmarks bar give a lot away. Look at the corners before exporting.
Where SnapBlur fits
SnapBlur opens the visible tab straight in an editor with blocks, pixelation, text and outlines. The image is processed on your computer and only leaves it when you export.
