For many local businesses in Brazil, WhatsApp is the shortest path to a customer. If it is hidden in the footer, the website is asking people to give up.
People looking for a pest control company, a bakery that takes orders or a car repair shop usually want to sort things out quickly. They open the website, check that the business does what they need and want to talk to someone. At that moment, every extra scroll is a chance for them to go back to the search results.
What we check
- 01Is the button visible without scrolling? On mobile and on desktop, the way to WhatsApp should appear right next to the page title, not only in the footer.
- 02Does the button open the right conversation? The link has to go straight to the business's number. An old number or a broken link loses customers without anyone noticing.
- 03Does the message start ready to send?An opening message, such as "Hi, I'd like a quote", saves people the work of figuring out what to write.
This works for any website: the contact button sits on the first screen and repeats at the points where people tend to decide, such as after the list of services and the prices.
