Grab your phone, open your website as if you were a customer and run these four checks. No technical knowledge needed.
Many people look for local services on their phones, often in a hurry. A website that only works well on a computer loses exactly those people. You can find out on your own in two minutes.
The four checks
- 01Can you read it without zooming? If you need to pinch the screen to read the text, the website wasn't made for mobile.
- 02Are the buttons easy to tap?Small buttons, or buttons crammed together, make people tap the wrong thing and give up.
- 03Is nothing cut off at the sides? If the page moves sideways or some text disappears at the edge, part of the website doesn't fit the screen.
- 04Can you find the contact in a few seconds?Count how long it takes to find the phone, WhatsApp or address. If it takes more than a few seconds, the customer probably gives up first.
If the website failed any of these checks, it is worth a closer look.
